Intro to Automation and Control CSUCI
This hands-on workshop on Automation & Control introduces students to the fundamentals of industrial control systems and modern automation technologies used in today’s engineering and industrial environments. Participants will explore key topics such as industrial control systems (ICS), process optimization, real-time embedded control, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and Industry 4.0 concepts through guided explanations and practical examples.
The workshop is designed to be accessible to students from all backgrounds—no prior knowledge or experience in automation or control systems is required. Whether you are a beginner curious about automation or a student considering careers in engineering, manufacturing, robotics, or industrial technology, this workshop provides a strong foundational overview.
The session will be led by Dr. Reza Abdolee and Dr. Vida Vakilian and will take place at CSU Channel Islands. Space may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Registration is open only to CSUCI students.
